Kuwento - Music

When you work on a game by yourself, you're forced to wear many hats. Music is one of the areas I'm not as confident in. I've dabbled with music production and playing instruments, but I wouldn't say I'm even proficient. That said, I still enjoy the process. I'm using Reaper as my DAW. It's easy to use and fairly inexpensive for what you get. It's also generous with the trial. I also got a bunch of virtual instruments from a Humble Bundle sale. They're so fun to play with. I'm glad I found a few folk/traditional instruments from the sale, but I may have to look for some more.
I got most of my information about traditional music from the Philippines from this awesome video. I'm trying my best to stick to similar-sounding instruments. I have the beginning of a loop for the menu screens audio. It's not final yet. I'm not sure about keeping the piccolo. It sounds a little out of place. I also want to add more gongs, since it seems to be pretty ubiquitous in the traditional Filipino music I've listened to so far.
I made the visualizer in Blender based on Mike Hodgetts' talk about using geometry nodes to get reactive audio. If you can't tell, the base mesh is my attempt at a model I made of a balangay, a type of boat that was often used as a trading ship in precolonial Philippines.
