Wasting Time

As much as I appreciate how important self-reflection is, it does take the wind out of my sails. I can't help but ruminate when I'm not distracting myself with music or some Youtube video essay about an inconsequential topic. It's much harder to delude yourself into thinking that you can be more than what you are and that you'll have a positive impact on the world when you're no longer young and hopeful. I hate that I'm not young enough to get away with sticking my head in the sand.
